The Quelle Saloon, originally located at SW Second Avenue and Stark Streets in Portland, Oregon, was established around 1881, probably by Louis Feurer. By 1884 it was owned by Louis Sechtem, and around 1889 Sechtem and Frederick (or Fritz) Strobel (or Stroebel) formed a partnership to run the business. This lasted until about 1891, when Strobel established his own saloon called the Louvre on SW Fourth Avenue.
